Project Playwright IV Reading

Sunday, October 5th will be our reading of selected short plays for Project Playwright IV! Through audience feedback we narrow down the choices to what will be included in our November production. It's like a choose-your-own-adventure book! Well, kind of ... Sunday, October 5th, 5pm @ Where Eagles Dare, 347 West 36th St. in the Dove studio. Be part of the process!

MADAIR is accepting short play submissions for Project Playwright IV. Yes, our fourth annual production of a variety of short plays from talented writers from around the world! And you may be one of them ... but we'll never know unless you send your scripts our way! Comedy, drama, political satire, we love it all, but we do prefer under 20 minutes in length and 6 characters or less. Mail hardcopies to: MADAIR Productions, FDR Station, P.O. We are working on our third Project Playwright! It will open on September 25th and run thru the 30th at Access Theatre 380 Broadway 4th floor. Tickets will be available on smarttixx soon. Check back for more info...

We are at it again!

We have started production on our second annual Project Playwright! We have our directors, cast, and crew...we have added a new element this year, we are having four different directors and eight different plays. We have added alot of new talent, and look forward to working with all of them. Also something a bit different for us, we are using a downtown theater...the Blackbox at the Access Theater on Broadway between White and Walker, we haven't ventured below 36th street before, so now we really are "downtown theatre"! The entire production team would like to thank all who turned out in support of the world premiere of "Welcome Home Steve"! Special thanks goes out to the cast (Melani, Morgan, Joseph, Heather, and Schuyler) and our very favorite writer (you know we love you!) Craig McNulty. You are all exceptional and wonderful people and did a bang-up job on this production. MADAIR is happy to call this production a rousing success and we are looking forward to our next endeavor.

Fundraiser Success!

MADAIR held a successful fundraiser and raffle on February 19th at Under the Volcano in Manhattan. The entire cast of "Welcome Home Steve" was in attendance (Melani Adair, Joseph Amato, Morgan Baker, Heather Edwards and Schuyler Yancey) along with the playwright (Craig McNulty) and director (Guilherme Perreiras.) Everyone had a great time! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support!!

MADAIR is pleased to announce the recent acquirement of Craig McNulty's newest play "Welcome Home Steve". Production and rehearsals have already commenced and we're looking forward to the opening in April.
